Mardom
The owners of the company
are Mr and Mrs Barbara and Jan Walaszek. In 1985, they launched a business
which, in less that 22 years, turned into a significant company on the
international market from a small, family production establishment.
The company's history -
mile stones:
- 1985 - first curtain rod made in Lipniki Stare
- 1996 - company begins collaboration with Leroy Merlin
- 1999 - launch of new product - roller blinds
- 1999 - company begins collaboration with CASTORAMA
- 1999 - tender won for supplying IKEA, the international market leader in furnishings, with wooden curtain rods
- 2001 - company hires 200 employees. Curtain rods made in a full range of colours and sizes
- 2002 - a modern 2 500 m² production workshop is built. 4SIP is implemented - system of organisation of production and ecological systems of air purification and processing of wood wastes.
- 2003 - company begins to produce furniture made of solid wood
- 2003 - IWAY implemented - international system of norms concerning environmental protection, social conditions, work and wooden products
- 2004 - restitution of new stone frame saw hall (2 500 m²)
- 2004 - 2006 - production of exclusive curtain rod collection
- 2007 - company begins collaboration with OBI and NOMI
- 2007 - distinction in the "Firma Rownych Szans" (company of equal chances) competition
- 2007 - Mardom receives the FSC CoC certificate - it certifies that the company's products are made of certified (controlled) lumber
- 2008 - Mardom wins the program Jakosc Roku 2007 (Quality 2007) in the product category.
